Any of you other rogues having crit cap issues?  I calculated my crit cap with a formula from elitist jerks and with my current gear plus a raid buffed environment i found i am over the crit cap by several %.  I then used a crit cap calculater which gave me the exact saem numbers telling me i'm over the crit cap (wasting crit for my white hits).  So even though i have reached the soft cap plus a lil over for Hit rating i'm finding myself having to add more hit gems in order to increase my crit cap.

Any of you have any info on this subject?  Just wondering if what i'm doing is correct by adding more hit to decrease my chance to hit therefore increasing my crit cap(making it go up a few %'s)  I also use aldriana's rogue spreadsheet which is also telling my to gem more Hit, once i ad 2 hit rating gems to my gear it tells me to gem more AP, which from my understanding is im just right near the crit cap where only a couple gems will raise my cap high enough to put me right under the cap.

Well i know this may sound like gibberish but if anyone out there understands this stuff holla at me.  Thx

If you're using the spreadsheet, and changing gems is a dps increase, then it's an increase.

Crit cap only affects white hits iirc, which is about 30-40% of your dps. Unless you have enough hit rating for the 27% dw miss chance, then you can still add hit to increase that damage as long as it isn't too terribly detrimental to your other stats.

I think the hard crit cap is something like 79% because of glancing hits and an inherent 5% crit debuff against higher level mobs or somesuch silliness.
